I have a bump!!! An extra bump that is!

Okay, so it's not visible to the naked eye, but last night I found a bump where Tex is living!!!

Ahh, the joys of being a big girl... between all the jiggly bits I'll never have one of those cute baby bumps, and I doubt I'll even show. I'll just look fatter.

But I felt a bump!!! And so did Dave!

It's all round and Dave was all scared that he was going to hurt him... nah, too much chub in the way!

I guess I feel a little more pregnant... next is to feel this kid kick up a storm!

I may have sounded confident in my last post, but I wasn't... I was just too scared to post anything new. After I posted that, I read the report the Emergency doctor wrote... the diagnosis?

THREATENED MISCARRIAGE

Needless to say I shit! I freaked! I cried!

I saw my doctor the next Friday and she cringed when I said he tried to take it out, and that it's common for women who took fertility drugs and that there is no effect on wee Tex.
And she doesn't want to remove it. And that Emerg doctors don't see fertility patients all the time.

"Fine with me", I said "as long as the baby is okay".
Then I got to hear his little heartbeat... which was music to my ears, especially after all this bleeding and cramping crap. Just sad Dave couldn't hear it.

He's fine, his heart is 150 beats a minute and as of tomorrow he'll be 14 weeks.
Good times!

I'm trying out a new ticker... what do you think?

This is my old one...

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

I'm not sure which on is cuter? Oh well!

All is well... I'm still tired, but not as sick (knock on wood) although I barfed a little this morning.

And my sister's cat is stalking me... she has a thing for knocked up chicks... that's her a couple of years ago, just imagine her fatter and that's Mouse, the preggers stalker.

She's watching me right now!

Oh well, she stalked my sister and Abygail turned out perfect. So I'll let Mouse continue the stalking and meowing.
On the other hand, my cats don't give a rat's ass whether I'm pregnant or what... as long as the food keeps flowing, the litter stays clean and I don't try to cut their nails. Sorry about the nails, ladies. By the sounds of it, I'm pulling them out by the roots and not snipping the ends off! I've never cut them too short, so it's not like they have anything to whine about.

HERE'S some info about what stage Tex will be at as of tomorrow... Dave hates the name Tex, but I started calling him my little cowboy the other day and then I giggled when I called him Tex. So now, my fetus is named Tex!

And yes, I think he's going to be a boy. Not that there's anything wrong with girls (I am one after all), but I think this one is going to be a boy.

And if he's not, that's okay too! More clothes!

Big Scare!

This week-end I started spotting and had a bit of cramping... I tried to keep myself calm, but it's pretty hard especially when I kept thinking of my last pregnancy and how it ended.

I ended up going to Emerg, just in case and had some really great staff!
Everyone who I encountered at the Guelph General Hospital the other day were awesome!

I had an oh-so-fun examination and after it was determined I have a polyp inside my cervix... apparently it's the size of the end of a man's thumb - gross! And that's what's bleeding, apparently they bleed easily and it didn't like being bumped around the other night.

A polyp is like a skin-tag, and apparently it's pretty common in pregnancy.

My cervix is tight and Eggie is fine, and that's all that counts.
Apparently he's about 2.13 inches tall and weighs about 14 grams.

He Looks Real!!!

Today was my 11 week ultrasound... I drank lemonade like a savage, since the water was makin' me barfy and then I almost peed my pants walking from the car to the office.
Then the ultrasound technician says "You're going to have to let some of that out", which is easier said than done but a good Keigels workout. Everything looks good... we could even see his heart beating from the external ultrasound! I was thinking we wouldn't be able to since I'm not exactly the skinniest pregnant chick on the block.
Here's a picture with no labels...

And he was dancing up a storm! Lots of movement, so it was hard to get a good shot.
Because of the way he was sitting it was hard to get a good internal picture, but our external one is good, so I don't care!
While we were eating lunch, I kept bringing up "did you see him moving?!" "can you believe we made him?!" and stuff like that.

I'm so glad it's starting to feel more real... now it's just having to wait to meet him!

Only 198 days to go before he's here!

I am 30% through my pregnancy... I can't wait until I feel like Wonder Woman!!! (Janet and Susan said I would!)

A Sweet and Sour Post!

I absolutely LOVE my family doctor... but the receptionists there SUCK!

They have this thing where you can e-mail the office to make an appointment, you enter in all your info and times you're available and there you go.

It takes them FOREVER to answer... days and days... just like it takes them forever to answer the phones (but at least this part I understand... and that's why I e-mail)

Two days ago I wrote an e-mail asking for an appointment, they say to give 3 specific times but I gave 3 complete DAYS and 4 specific times on another day. I'm very flexible.

Maybe that's the problem because I'm still waiting... and in the meantime I'm bleeding pee and have a painful bladder, but they're taking their sweet-ass time. Now 2 of the days have passed and my specific time period starts in 15 minutes. Thanks!

Maybe next time I'll be REALLY specific so I can actually get in there!

Yeah, I'm bitchy today... even though I slept like a champ, except for the 7 trips to the can. Yayyy!!! I should buy stocks in toilet paper!!! Cuz our use is tripling!!!

Although I did get some super bargains on cloth diapers! 4 brand new all-in-ones for $8 as well as 3 diapers and 2 covers for $5! Oh yeah! I also got the cutest knitted sweater that's baby blue and would probably fit a three month old.

If you're looking to find a good thrift store that is CLEAN and reasonable, check out the "Bibles For Mission Thrift Store"
It was my first time in there, and it's really nice, clean, and inexpensive... although I stuff mainly to the baby section.

And as I look through the boxes of my niece's old stuff, my list of things I *need* is getting smaller and smaller. I don't need ANY sleepers until this kid is over 9 months!!! Sweet! Or diaper shirts!

And this is all taking into consideration that Abby is a girl and we think we're having a boy!
(That's not my stuff BTW, I just wanted a picture!) And I still have alot to go through... now I can use my money on a kick-ass carseat and a Bumbo chair!!!
